How to Re-sync a .dat File from CCH Axcess

Everything you need to know about how and when to use the re-sync feature.

Updated this week

The Re-sync button in the CCH Axcess integration allows you to upload a new .dat file to an existing preparation. It refreshes the imported data from CCH Axcess without affecting the files uploaded or work already done in the preparation within the Juno Web App.

To utilize this feature, click the “Re-sync” button in the top right of the form matching screen.

After you click that button, the below screen will appear. Here, you can upload the new .dat file generated from CCH. For a step by step guide on how to generate this file, see How to Connect CCH Axcess to Juno. Once the file is uploaded, select “Continue” and return to the form matching screen.

Use the Re-sync button in the following situations:

  • An incorrect .dat file was uploaded to Juno - for example, the wrong client or tax year.

  • The original .dat file contained incorrect or corrupted data - such as missing fields or proforma'd data that didn't import correctly.

  • You're exporting a preparation from Juno to CCH Axcess a second time - for example, if a client provides a brokerage statement after the initial export that needs to be added to the return. In these cases, re-syncing ensures that any changes made in CCH Axcess after the first export are saved and reflected in Juno.

If you have additional questions on this feature, please contact Customer Support via [email protected] or in live chat inside of the Juno Web App.
