Karbon Integration Task Support Article

The Juno integration task syncs documents from your Karbon work items into Juno and reports document status back. This article covers adding it to a Work Item Template and managing it once it's in place.

Before You Begin

You'll need:

  • Your Juno and Karbon connection already set up (see How to Connect Juno to Karbon)

  • Admin access to your Karbon workspace to edit Work Item Templates

Adding the Integration Task to a Work Item Template

  1. Open the Karbon Work Item Template you want to add the integration task to.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the template and click Add Step.

  3. Select Integration, then choose the Juno task.

Pro tip: Adding the integration step drops it to the very bottom of the template, and Karbon doesn't auto-scroll to it. Collapse all sections in the template first — it's much easier to find and drag the new step to where you actually want it once everything is collapsed.

Managing the Integration Task

What the task does

Once the integration task is on a work item, it does two things: it gives your team a direct link into the Juno preparation, and it reports document processing status back to Karbon.

The deep link

The integration task passes back a deep link that opens the preparation directly in Juno — skipping the step of opening Juno and hunting for the right prep.

Juno may ask for some required information about the preparation before syncing the documents from Karbon.

Once that information is provided, document import starts right away.

Status updates back to Karbon

The task posts the document processing status of each uploaded document back to Karbon. Once every document reaches a validated or archived state, Juno sets the integration task to a Completed status in Karbon.

Using the status with Automators

Because the task moves to Completed once all documents are validated or archived, you can use that status change as a trigger condition in Karbon Automators.
