If you haven’t connected Juno and TaxDome please read our Connecting TaxDome and Juno article prior to following these steps.
Now that your TaxDome and Juno accounts are connected you’ll see the “Send to Juno” button in your Docs tab.
Important Note: If you are not an Admin in your TaxDome account you will need a member of your team with Admin access to toggle on "Use Juno Integration" within Team Members section of "Team & Plans”.
Step 1: Select your documents in TaxDome
Navigate to the client's Docs tab.
Select the documents you want to push to Juno. You can select documents individually or select an entire folder.
Once documents are selected, the Send to Juno button will become active.
Step 2: Click "Send to Juno"
Click Send to Juno to begin the sending process.
If a preparation already exists for this client - the selected documents will be added to that existing preparation.
If no preparation exists yet - Juno will create one and your documents will be waiting there.
Step 3: Select the Return Type and Tax Year
Before your documents are sent, you will see a screen where you can select the entity type and return details. Start by selecting the Return Type type.
Individuals
Select the Taxpayer.
Select the Tax Year.
Confirm the Taxpayer contact (if applicable).
This is the name and year that will be used to create the client and preparation in Juno. You will want to ensure that all documents for the return (including those for a Spouse or Joint forms) are sent using the name that the return is under in your Tax Software.
If the client account has multiple contacts, you will see a confirmation modal to confirm the correct Taxpayer contact before the documents are sent.
To set a default Taxpayer assignee for future sends, navigate to the client's account > Info > Contacts > Signer Priority and set that contact to 1.
Businesses
Select the Company Name.
Enter the EIN.
Select the Tax Year.
This is the name and year that will be used to create the client and preparation in Juno.
Step 5: Review in Juno
Log in to Juno and open the Preparer Dashboard.
Find the client you pushed documents for and click into their preparation to begin reviewing the extracted data.
